Private, thoughtful therapy for adults navigating consequential life decisions, relationship changes, and major transitions.
When every option feels like it could change your life, it’s easy to become stuck—thinking, second-guessing, and waiting for certainty that may never come.
Maybe you’ve been thinking about leaving your marriage for months—or years. Maybe you know your career no longer fits, but starting over feels terrifying. You may know something needs to change, while still wondering: What if I make the wrong decision? What if I regret it?
Therapy can give you a private place to slow down, understand what you truly want, and make decisions you can trust yourself to live with.
When You’re Facing a Decision That Could Change Everything
Should I stay in my marriage—or is it time to leave?
Can I really start over at this age?
What if I make the wrong decision?
What if I end up alone?
What if I regret it?
You don’t have to have the answer before you come to therapy. My role isn’t to tell you whether to stay or leave, start over or stay where you are. Together, we can sort through the fear, uncertainty, and competing voices so you can understand what you truly want—and make a decision that feels like your own.
You Don’t Have to Figure This Out Alone
When you’re caught between the life you have and the life you may want, it can be difficult to know which thoughts to trust. Fear can sound like intuition. Guilt can feel like responsibility. And the pressure to make the “right” decision can make it even harder to hear yourself clearly.
Therapy gives you a place to untangle all of that. Together, we can look at what’s keeping you stuck, what you’re afraid of losing, and what you may be ready to move toward—without pushing you in any particular direction.
Therapy for Life Transitions & Difficult Decisions
I work with adults who feel stuck at a crossroads in their lives—often around relationships, marriage, career, identity, or major life transitions.
You may appear perfectly capable on the outside while privately questioning a part of your life that no longer feels right. You don’t necessarily need someone to give you advice. You need a place where you can say what you’re really thinking, examine your options honestly, and understand what you want without judgment or pressure.
My approach is thoughtful, direct, and collaborative. We’ll look not only at the decision in front of you, but at the patterns, fears, relationships, and experiences that may be making it so difficult to move forward.
Meet Jeanne

I’m Jeanne Quilling, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
For more than 20 years, I’ve worked with people navigating difficult relationships, major life transitions, and those moments when the life they’ve been living no longer feels like the life they want.
I believe therapy should be a place where you can say the things you may not feel comfortable saying anywhere else—the doubts, fears, resentments, wishes, and questions you’re still trying to understand.
I’m not here to make your decisions for you. I’m here to help you understand yourself well enough to make them with greater clarity and confidence.
What You Can Expect
Therapy with me is thoughtful, direct, and collaborative. You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what is wrong or what you should do. We can begin with what feels confusing, painful, or unresolved.
I’ll listen carefully, ask questions, and help you slow down the thoughts and patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we’ll look at what you want, what you fear, and what may be making it difficult to trust yourself.
I won’t tell you whether to stay or leave, begin again, or keep trying. My role is to help you understand yourself more clearly so you can make decisions that feel honest, intentional, and right for your life.
Private, Personalized Care
I work on a private-pay basis and do not accept insurance. This allows our work to be guided by your needs—not by an insurance company’s requirements regarding diagnosis, treatment length, or the information needed for reimbursement.
For many clients, private-pay therapy offers greater privacy, flexibility, and control over their care. Decisions about the focus and pace of therapy remain where they belong—between you and me.
If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill upon request. Because a superbill includes diagnostic and service information, you can decide whether submitting it feels right for you.
Your Privacy Matters
Your privacy is not something I treat as a technicality. I do not record sessions or use AI note-taking, transcription, or other AI tools in our work. I also do not allow “de-identified” transcripts of your sessions to be retained for product development, research, or commercial use.
What you share in therapy belongs in the therapeutic relationship—not in a data set. Your care remains human, personal, and guided by professional judgment.
Start With a Conversation
Reaching out does not mean you need to have everything figured out. I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone or secure video consultation so you can ask questions, tell me a little about what is bringing you to therapy, and decide whether working together feels like the right fit.
I offer ongoing therapy sessions through secure telehealth, Monday through Thursday.
